Im Back

I took some time from study to visit my farther who is going through cancer. A few units became available for study in that time Create 3d Interactive Environments for Digital Games that covers level building and Manage Testing of Games and Interactive Media basically everything Q&A.

I worked on QA with another student over Skype comparing research and information. There has been a learning guide booklet added since i worked on this unit.

For assessment one you start the unit out by playing a scenario as the test manager for your employer. You are given a Game Design Document to read through and a series of questions to answer within a word document that will be after you have researched and completed the questions the Quality Requirements Statement
A2 consists of a document of questions requiring research on Test Plans and Bug Management Software to answer them.
A3 is a big assessment as the scenario continues with updates in the GDD due to external focus tests which you then have to update an excel test plan spread sheet to cover the new additions within the GDD. From here you need to setup scripts in UDK and run a supplied level and start testing each part of the test plan to the supplied game. After you have completed this you need to write up a test plan report.
A4 Is all about operating bug management software, you are required to setup a new project and users for the scenario then fill in all the bugs you have found as the test team lead.
A5 continues with the scenario as no bugs are found within the game requiring a finalization report to assure a final QA test lock off period so no new bugs will be introduced.

I have done this entire unit now and am waiting for it to get marked.

Create 3d Interactive Environments requires you not to actually do anything in udk until stuff has been marked.
A1 is knowledge questions
A2 starts the scenario as you being handed a whitebox level for unreal tournament deathmatch that you have to create a design document for. Top and bottom level floor plans are also provided for you to modify. You also have to create a schedule and costs for your development team.
A3 requires you to create a presentation of your concept in powerpoint.
A4 here you actually start work on the level
A5 is a post mortem of your own work.

So far i am only up to A2 and am waiting for it to be marked so i can continue.
Drew up some blueprints in lead pencil while i was with my farther.

Here are some of them.
